Referee & Volunteer Program (RVP)

RVP Overview

Marin FC maintains the Referee and Volunteer Program (RVP) in order to accomplish many goals. First and foremost, volunteers and referees in the soccer community are always needed. Additionally however, referee licensure educates our players to the full spectrum of the game. And importantly, the program fundraises for Club programs such as financial aid, fields and coach education.

U8 through U13 (the 'Youngers' ages)

Players may, but at these ages parents are expected to volunteer for club or team in some capacity.  A $250 deposit is collected at registration of which $200 is refundable when volunteering is confirmed. Team managers report their team's cadre of volunteers to the club for refund crediting.

U14 through U19 (the 'Olders' ages)

Players are expected to referee five games or volunteer in the soccer community for the equivalent amount of time (5 hours). A $350 deposit is collected at registration of which $200 is refundable upon of 5 games refereed or 5 hours volunteering by the player. Games refereed for Marin FC are automatically reported by our assignor and Director of Referees for refund credit. Players who volunteer or referee games elsewhere must report their activities themselves using the online reporting form.
