Marin FC Goalkeeping Program
Marin FC offers a robust program for goalkeeping under the direction of Shane Kennedy and the instruction of our squad of highly skilled and experienced trainers.
The Goalkeeping Program Has Two Parts
Weekly Training Sessions
(Rostered Marin FC Players Only)
While rostered with an Marin FC team, goalkeepers are provided weekly distinct sessions to work with the club specialists on goalkeeping tactics, techniques and psychosocial elements of the game and goalkeeping position.
Based upon a set yearly calendar, in a specially formatted 'Goalkeepers' TeamSnap team, and the club's goalkeeping curriculum, players are given small group instruction and individual attention to advance them in their goalkeeping craft. The sessions calendar is a framework, however the instructors will continually review players' progress and route them to sessions suited to their needs and abilities.
June Camp
(Open To All)
In late June each season, the Marin FC Goalkeeping Specialists will host a camp for any and all goalkeepers. The camp is at Marin Academy and runs 9am to Noon, Monday through Thursday and costs $195 per player. Based upon the club's goalkeeping curriculum, the week is an intense opportunity to either raise yours skills or ramp up your pre-season training.
