The Girls ’06 Red win Silver State Cup!!! The team showed a strong will to compete at the start of the knock out rounds and were water tight at the back, not conceding a goal in three rounds of play. The key moment in the final came with 15 minutes to play when the heavily favored North Bay Elite were awarded a penalty. Goalie Ainslie Bowers went down low to her left to make the biggest save of the season and keep the game deadlocked at 0-0. With ten minutes to go, momentum swung when our crafty attackers got in behind in transition and found the back of the net to ensure the girls were Cup Champions!!
